This wedding story is all about Hanna and Nick: they are based in New York and planned to have their wedding at the Luxury Hotel Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park. They needed help bringing the final bits together and sourcing final suppliers for their UK destination wedding, this is where I came in with my partial planning experience.
They were holding the ceremony and reception at this prestigious London hotel. It started with a beautiful ceremony in the Loggia with its doors opening onto a terrace overlooking Hyde park. This is where Hanna decided to walk down the Aisle from outside making the most of the stunning setting. The room had hired Louis chairs and the gorgeous flowers were created by Flowers by Eve, elegant and luxurious soft pinks and ivories to suit the sophisticated venue setting.
The drinks and canapé reception took place on the terrace, with a very exciting addition of the Royal household Calvery going past on horses, particularly fun for the guests from America and Korea. After enjoying the reception on the terrace they were invited into the ballroom, which was elegantly dressed with two long tables, tall flower arrangements and elegant tableware provided by the hotel. They gifted their guests Jo Malone Perfume as Favours which were place on each seat.
After two courses and speeches, there was a wonderful dessert station set up for guests to help themselves, the evening party came and was complete with photobooth, DJ, a sax player, a phone voice message guest book and a chocolate fountain. They did a lovely first dance and Hanna also sung to Nick which was really special. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and the Bride and groom had the perfect UK destination wedding. The wedding day was captured beautifully by Ami Robertson Photography.
Thank you Hanna and Nick for choosing me to help you with your plans and ensure the day ran smoothly. I hope you have had a wonderful first year of marriage.
