Do I need a wedding planner? 
 
As your wedding planner, I will save you a lot of time and stress. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience with over 10 years in the events industry. With my network of trustworthy suppliers, I will find the best suppliers to suit you and your wedding. It takes, on average, 200 hours to plan a wedding (for many, the process takes over a year); that is a lot of time, so it is important you don't feel stressed out or overwhelmed by it all. Your Story Events will be your expert wedding planner and trusted confidant throughout, taking away all the stress so you can really relax and enjoy the whole experience, knowing you will be in safe hands on the day.

What sort of weddings do you work on?
 
Our services are completely bespoke; we take your vision for your wedding day and turn it into a reality. If you want an elegant stately home wedding, a beautiful glass house venue, a stunning marquee wedding or a contemporary barn wedding, we can create it. If you are looking for a traditional church wedding or want to steer away from tradition, that is fine, too. We love the variety!

Will you be there on the wedding day?
 
Yes! We will be there with our clipboards, emergency wedding day kit, and schedule in hand. We’ll work behind the scenes to manage the day’s events, liaise with suppliers, assist your guests and ensure everything flows seamlessly. Knowing we are there allows you to completely relax and enjoy creating unforgettable memories without worrying or stressing about the next part.

Where are Your Story Events based? 
​
We’re based in Buckinghamshire, but also work in London and the home counties, including Oxfordshire, Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex and Kent. Cotswolds weddings also hold a special place at YSE, but we love travelling to create beautiful celebrations anywhere in the UK. If you're looking to get married in the UK, don't hesitate to get in touch, as we would love to help.

How much do wedding planning services cost? 
 
We offer three different wedding planning service options, so do take a look at our wedding services page to get an idea of what we offer. Following an initial discussion, we provide a bespoke quote tailored to you, but the page does offer guide costs and what’s included to give you an idea.

How many weddings do you plan a year?
 
There is no set number, but we have a limited number of full planning weddings a year in order to maintain our unique personal service, which allows us to look after you properly. With partial planning and wedding day coordination, dates get confirmed well in advance, so we advise that whichever service you are interested in, get in touch as soon as possible.

I live abroad, but I want a wedding in the UK. Can you help?
​
Yes, of course, we love working with couples all over the world. Your Story Events will manage everything for you as your UK-based wedding planner. This includes venue visits, sourcing suppliers, creating a design, managing transport/accommodation and logistics, looking after your invites and RSVPs, planning pre/post-wedding celebrations and much more. When you arrange to visit the UK, we’ll organise the important (and most exciting!) things to do while you are here; this may be bridal dress appointments, menu tasting, venue visits, or florist mock-up meetings. If you can’t come back as often as you like, you can trust us to make the best decisions on your behalf with lots of planning updates, video calls and a shared planning portal. You will always know exactly how planning is going and how your amazing wedding is coming together.
